Description
We have partnered with Genie to offer convenient online access to the required Classroom portion of MEWP training. The online classroom portion of the training can be completed via a mobile phone, tablet or computer.
Genie® Lift Pro™ Online Operator Training Courses are high quality professional grade programs that are delivered through a web-based platform and are designed to satisfy the Classroom requirements for aerial work platforms as defined by ANSI and OSHA and MEWPs.
The programs incorporate current adult learning theory and consist of detailed graphics, narration, video and a variety of quizzes that provide a rich and interactive learning environment for the trainee. At the end of the aerial program there is a 30-question exam to verify knowledge retention. The MEWP course consists of a 57-question exam.
Upon passing the exam, a certificate of completion is presented as proof of training in preparation for the hands-on portion. After completing the online training, we can schedule a time for you to come to our facility for the hands-on familiarization from one of our qualified trainers.
You must complete both the online and hands-on familiarization to become a qualified operator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long is the online classroom course?
A: The time for an operator to complete the online classroom course can take anywhere from 2-3 hours.
Q: How long is the hands-on training?
A: It depends on how many people are needing to be evaluated. Plan on roughly 15-20 minutes per operator per equipment type. We recommended having about six people or less per hands-on training "session.
Q: What if I don't plan on using any Genie Equipment?
A; This Course is designed to be general in nature since it covers safe operation procedures for all types of MEWPs (mobile elevated work platforms.) It is is expected that operators will follow established familiarizations procedures prior to operating models not specifically addressed during this training.
Q: What if I have to interrupt my course, can I resume where I left off?
A: Yes, you may leave the course and resume at any time. It is recommended that you set aside enough time to finish the course at one time.
Q: What do I need to bring for the hands-on evaluation?
A: You will need to print off or email to us your "proof of completion" for the MEWP operator training. This document is automatically generated upon passing the online course and needs to be shown to the trainer prior to starting the hands-on evaluation. You will not receive your hands-on evaluation, if no proof of completion for the online portion is shown to the trainer.
